Need:  Firmware for Skyvoice S282/E28 R2821
Nov 7th, 2009, 8:48pm

The Phone I reviewed here: http://linuxslate.com/Review-Skyvoice_S282.html has developed a couple problems.

First, it lost the built-in Java games (both at once, after a crash, I did not erase them), and then it would no longer connect to any VoIP provider (WiFi does still work).

I have erased all VoIP accounts and tried again, and I have done a Factory reset, and tried again, but no luck.

I would like to try any firmware that is available for this phone.  Thanks.

This phone is also branded as DP72 on http://www.vutek.com.tw/

There's a firmware download available on http://www.vutek.com.tw/Support.htm, I haven't tried flashing it and I have absolutely no clue wherever it works or not.
Still hope it helps though.

Wow !   Thanks!

I'll have to try that.  Something I read said that there is a Windows flasher program that is used to do the update.

If so, it should be in the .rar that you provided the link to.  (I have not opened it yet.

Starting with the phone fully charged, but off, and the Windows .exe running, flashing should start when you insert the USB cable.

If I can extract the filesystem from that .rar it opens up lots of possibilities.

I'll post more once I've had time to look at it.

Thanks again.
